Matis Pharand
Assistant therapist and receptionist
A bachelor’s student in kinesiology at the Université de Montréal with plans to pursue physiotherapy in the future, Matis joined the Ekinox team at the end of June 2026 as an assistant therapist. He later joined the reception team in August 2026.
His passion for connecting with others and his constant desire to learn, both of which he developed during his years as a competitive gymnastics coach, are what initially drew him to work at the clinic. Curious and caring, Matis is committed to helping Ekinox remain an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Outside of studying and working, Matis enjoys weight training and hip-hop dancing, which he has been practicing for the past three years. Passionate about sports, he strives to maintain an active, balanced, and healthy lifestyle, which he believes is one of the simplest paths to happiness.
